DIBP to conduct information seminars in Queensland

If you live in Bundaberg, Hervey Bay or Maryborough, keep an eye out for the Department of Immigration and Border Protection's (DIBP) outreach officers.

They will be visiting these regions between November 25 and 29 to host seminars about migration visas.

Migration agents in Queensland may also want to attend and make sure they're up to date with all the latest changes to Australia's migration program.

A spokesperson said a number of changes were introduced in 2012, and it's important everyone is fully aware of these before applying for migration visas.

According to the DIBP, the seminars will cover a wide range of topics, including  employer-sponsored skilled migration, the regional sponsored migration scheme (RSMS) and SkillSelect.

In addition to this, outreach officers will discuss employer and employee rights as well as provide general information about the 457 visa program.

They will be particularly useful for business owners who are thinking about sponsoring a skilled migrant worker to fill a role in their company.

You may also want to contact migration agents in Australia for expert advice on your visa options.
