The Migration Law Reform Taskforce was established on the 9th of November 2011 in response to the increasing complexities of migration law and policy. It is staffed full time on a bro bono basis by members of the Migration Alliance.
Its purpose is to review the practicality of migration legislation as it applies in the frontline and draft appropriate legislative recommendations.
In support of its objective the Migration Law Reform Taskforce provides expert opinion and analysis to stakeholders and overall aims to assist in improving the process integrity of the Australian visa system.
