Registered migration agents (RMAs) operating in Western Australia should free up their calendar for early September so they can attend the Migration Conferences 2013 in Perth.
This three-day event will be held from Thursday September 5 to Saturday September 7 at the Perth Convention Centre and offers migration agents in Australia a great chance to learn more about the profession from industry experts.
Speakers at the event
Representatives from global giants of the business world such as PricewaterhouseCoopers director Glen Frost and Lucinda Chan from Macquarie Bank will be leading presentations at the conference.
Shadow minister for immigration Scott Morrison will also be in attendance as a speaker, welcoming delegates and providing a political address on the topic of 'Immigration in context of Hope, Opportunity and Reward' on the Saturday.
Other subjects covered during the three-day conference include servicing wealthy investment visa clients, state migration program updates, partner migration, and a presentation on how migration agents can have their say in local, state and federal politics.
There will also be an update from the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority, presented by the organisation's chief executive officer, Stephen Wood.

Aside from gaining access to the latest information on industry developments, migration agents can also benefit from excellent networking opportunities - safe in the knowledge that the conferences have been organised by RMAs for RMAs.
Sightseeing in Perth
The Migration Conferences 2013 are likely to keep attendees busy over the three days, but there is plenty to see and do for those who want to enjoy some sightseeing in Perth during their down time.
Perth Zoo is a popular option - with the award-winning attraction being home to 1,300 native and exotic animals, as well as offering a famous breeding program for endangered species.
If you're more interested in cultural pursuits, you could try the Western Australian Museum, the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts or the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
Another historic Perth attraction is The Bell Tower - a glass spire that houses the 12 bells of Saint Martin in the Fields Church, the parish church of Buckingham Palace in London's Trafalgar Square.
You can see the bell ringing in action, as well as have a go yourself through interactive demonstrations.
