Clients of registered migration agents can obtain premium access to Australian health insurance services through Bupa - whether they are on working or non-working immigration visas.
Overseas visitors who are not permitted for employment in Australia still have three levels of health cover, depending on their specific needs and circumstances.
These range from basic to comprehensive, and are now available to Migration Alliance members and their clients through a new partnership with Bupa.
Standard: This level of cover ensures individuals are able to receive treatment in any public hospital in Australia, as well as private practice visits to see a doctor or specialist. Some treatment exclusions apply.
Advantage: Providing all the perks of Standard, Advantage also covers non-working visa holders for private hospital treatments and expenses, with some exclusions.
Top: This is the most extensive package, covering private and public hospital medical expenses and treatments, and visits to doctors or specialists at private practices. There are also further benefits, such as dental, optical, massage, chiropractic and many more. Additionally, Top provides the option to choose an excess to lower premiums.
All levels of cover include expenses for ambulance services. Individuals that have health insurance requirements on their visa can also request an email verification cover letter for the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, which will arrive within four business days.
