Attention all migration agents! Are you going to be in Perth from September 5 to 7? Then you might want to register your interest here for the Migration Conferences 2013.
These conferences will be heading up and down the country from August 23 until October 26.
Along the way they'll be stopping in Canberra, Darwin, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Dandenong, Parramatta, Cairns, Adelaide and Hobart.
So, if you can't make it along to the three-day event in Perth, check out the website and see if you are able to catch one of the others!
You can opt to attend one, two or all three days of the conference. It costs $120 per person, per day, or - if you don't want to miss a moment - you might want to go with the three-day package, which costs just $360.
A variety of speakers from all walks of life will be imparting their knowledge to migration agents in Australia during this event.
Lucinda Chan from Macquarie Bank will be discussing best practices concerning wealthy investment visa clients.
This will be followed by a talk about the AAT Appeals Process (with Christopher Levingston), business migration in Western Australia, and skills assessment.
There have been some problems with skills assessment legislation of late, following the introduction of new rules on July 1 - so this will be a fantastic opportunity to find out what's going on and how others in your field of expertise are handling these changes.
Q & A sessions will be held, giving Australian migration agents the opportunity to raise any concerns they may have and receive feedback from those well versed in the migration industry, its policies and practices.
Places are running out fast, so make sure you register your interest as soon as possible.
If you don't want to wait until September to brush up on your knowledge of the industry and hone your skills, why not attend the two-day event in Canberra?
This is happening at the end of this month, from August 23 to 24, and will cover everything from family to skilled stream visas, SkillSelect to the Employer Nomination Scheme, and file management to ethical practice.
Whichever leg of the Migration Conferences 2013 you attend, you'll be sure to walk away more knowledgeable about the industry and with a few more registered migration agents from around the country as contacts.
