Australian migration agents may have noticed that Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) is currently having some major issues.
Migration Alliance's members have noticed that it's not correctly displaying data relevant to clients' visa statuses.
All migration agents in Australia must rely almost completely on this system now to find out what the current status of their clients' visas are, so it's important that VEVO is fixed as soon as possible.
In other news, a member of Migration Alliance has just received an email that seems to suggest Maurene Horder, former chief executive officer of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA), may have been pushed to resign from her position.
The email says that many migration agents have been asking for more information about Ms Horder's resignation, but that the MIA thinks it's better to have "little or no comment" on this subject.
It also says that the MIA's financial results will soon be released, and members will be able to draw their own conclusions from these.
All registered migration agents might like to consider signing up to Migration Alliance, a peak professional association that prides itself on being open and honest with its members.
It's free to join - you just have to share our organisation's vision and commitment to the migration sector.
