Feedback on DIBP's new ImmiAccount

Here is some important FEEDBACK about the New ImmiAccount and some problems that have been shared with Migration Alliance this morning from one of our members:

'1.       None of the Correspondence from Case Officers are showing up

2.       Grant letter link is there, but cannot view any of the Grant Letters

3.       Applications that are Finalised are showing as “In Progress”. In my case, examples are the following TRNs: EGNU1XXXXX, EGNTXXXXX and EGNSXXXXX.

Can the status of these Applications with these TRNs, please be changed from “In Progress” to “Finalised”, as the Visas for these clients have already been granted a while ago.

4.       Online Applications lodged in 2008 and earlier, like Subclasses 176 and 475, are not showing up in the List of Applications, and my colleagues have told me, they are not able to import them either.

5.       We are not logged into  LegendCom and VEVO, when we log into ImmiAccount. Also, the LegendCom Password has not changed. I still have to use the previous LegendCom Password to Login to LegenCom. The ImmiAccount login and Password does not work in Legendcom. We were told it should all be one Login and one Password.

6.       How do we remove from view in the List of Applications, old Applications that have already been finalised a while ago?

I remember in the MIA Seminar when we spoke to you Mark, we were told that we can modify the view in the List of Applications, and have only Applications “In Progress”, “Incomplete”, or “Submitted” in view. That would make sense, as we don’t always need to look at the 100s if not 1000s of Applications that have been “Finalised”, unless we have appealed the Decision in MRT or AAT.

Also, we were told that we should be able to import Paper Applications that have been lodged as well, through ImmiAccount. But the current functionality in ImmiAccount does not allow that.

A Great thanks for making the Partner Applications Online, and applying a Common Sense approach by leaving the option for Paper Applications open.

If you can also look into making the Parent Visa Applications (currently processed in Perth) Online, that will be a great help. Parent Visa Applications are usually less complicated than Partner Visa Applications, and are all centrally processed at the Perth Parent Visa Centre. So, converting it to Online should not be as complicated as the Partner Visas. Also, the Perth Parent Visa Centre is taking almost 3 months just to acknowledge an application. They also send receipts by snail mail, and are not always even registered. Look forward to your implementing this (Parent Visa Online Filing Option) in the future.

Finally, Mark, you mentioned the Online Visa Application Option for all Student Visa Assessment Levels (only Assessment Level 1, 2 and 3 from January 2014), Onshore and Offshore, for ALL countries, like, GSM and ENS, will be available from June 2014, or by August 2014, at the latest. And that you will finally discontinue the Assessment Level 2-4 Trials. Is this still the case, and are you still proceeding with this implementation as discussed? This will also help us a lot for future Student Visa Applications.'

    Hi Julie,

thanks for the info ... how long does it take for them to process your application.I just lodge mine for my fiance but wondering how long this will take. On their processing time it says 5 months for low risk and 12 months for high risk. this is actually longer than the paper application before which can only take 3 months.

I have been having problems logging in to my account. Th password recovery is not working either. I contacted the department and was told that someone would get back to me. Tow days later I again called the department and the person on the other end said they could not rest my password. when I asked to talk to someone else they rduley hung up.

I eventually called the IT support line and they tried to rest the password twice but the new login details dis not work (On both occassions)

There clearly is a fault in the system. The IT Support staff were most helpful but the level 1 support was of no help and infact provided false information.

I have been without access to the system now for over one week and no one has taken ownership of this case.

I am told there are a number of problems with the login system but have no statisical data as to the extent of the issues.

    Hi Julie

Thank you for the prompt response and please to note that you have managed to lodge both the partner and sponsor's application.
We have successfully submitted the partner's application but we still are not able to lodge the sponsor's application. The message is that we cannot continue the sponsor's application as the system cannot confirm the related partner's application.
Did you get an acknowledgement for the partner application and could you tell me which office is processing the online application.

Hi. I managed to sort out the issue having ingnored the false and incorrect advice provided my by the first level support. Problem as I understand is that there was two accounts registered as a result of a data merge and this was causing problems with the login. At first I was told nothing could be done. Advice that I ignored) on contacting more senior advisors we managed to sort the issue out. I am still experience some problems and confusion in accessing VEVO which appears to be a stand alone system.

From my point of view I wish I could just use my MARA number as a login ID..

I am attempting to lodge my fiancé and my prospective marriage visa online. The system seems to work well for me. I am having the same problem as above though.

The applicant is unable to continue this application as the related application details cannot be confirmed. The applicant may wish to review the information entered in this application prior to continuing.

I assume this is because we have yet to lodge my fiancé's application?

Also, does anyone know if the application is processed in Australia, or in the country in which the applicant resides?

Any ideas on realistic time for a nearly decision ready application (pending Singapore Police Clearance and Medical only).

    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi,

First of all, Thank you for opening the opportunity for us to provide you with personal feedbacks regarding the new ImmiAccount.

I lodged my application and uploaded all supporting documents to my immi account, as requested approx. 1 month ago but the status 'in progress' has not changed since. As described in the start off thread there's been no correspondence listed since the first lodgement of my application.
In fact, there's not been a single update ever since.

I wonder why the immigration office suggests to check the online progress of one's application on the ImmiAccount, if at the same time, the immigration office fails to update the system on any progress of the application?

Hello, does anyone have more feedback about the processing time for online demand for a 309 as compared to paper one, to get assigned a CO ect... ? Thank you very much, Pacome

I received a document request within a couple of days. I took that as a great sign that maybe, just maybe, they were processing a lot faster now.
Upon a gentle follow up. I was assured that processing times remain at the 12 months for this country. So no advantage at all by the looks of it (to me anyway)

Does not mean much. The fist thing a case officer does is request any missing documents. They it goes to the bottom of the pile and its a waiting game. If you use a Registered Migration Agent then they handle all the requests and communication. If they need more documents you again find yourself in waiting mode.

Ill be applying for offshore Subclass 309/100 partner visa application online for my husband through immiaccount but so confused..do u have to have everything ready to actually apply? like all the forms filled out..everything translated and certified, medicals, proof of relationship etc? or does it happen step by step? im an australian citizen living abroad and I have been with my partner for over 6 years. Married for 2 years.shall i apply for temporary partner visa or permanent visa? Or would they approve permanent if they can even if i apply for temporary? Any help will be appreciated :( thanks

It is a two step process you are issued a temporary visa and after two years from date of application you are then issued a permanent visa. If you need help you should contact a Registered Migration Agent or DIBP

    This site is poorly crafted.

    1) Online application does match Paper Application

    2) Authors aren't consistent with their headings throughout the applications and website

    3) Authors don't keep their order consistent

    4) Site often fills with error messages - especially when importing (not Microsoft Word compatible)

    5) Access is limited (Sponsor must wait for Partner to submit), applicants can't proceed without filling sections

    6) Apparently uploading of pictures is restrictive

I recommend downloading and sending the paper version until Immigration pull up their socks - clearly they don't care about applicants' time, which in the end translates to theirs.

Good day! Thank you for your site and for the information. I have just applied for a partner visa for my partner in the Philippines. I have commenced an ImmiAccount here in Australia and my partner in the Philippines has started their end of the process by opening an ImmiAccount for the application there. My question is, how do I now link the 2 accounts so that we can move forward for the application, make the payment of fees etc and get beyond the error message that I get with my end of the application after page 4. Thank you for any advice
