Breaking Australian immigration news brought to you by Migration Alliance and associated bloggers.
Auburn and surrounding suburbs is home to an extraordinary number of people from diverse backgrounds. The immediate electorate is one of the most multicultural in Australia. In the Auburn CBD, it's nothing to say hello in Arabic, Somali, Turkish, Persian, Mandarin and English. Michael Jeremy and family have worked in Auburn since the 70's and been part of the changes in the area.
In conjunction with Migration Alliance, Michael Jeremy is hosting a Migration Alliance "Immigration Clinic" at 35 Norval Street Auburn (opposite Auburn Hospital on the corner of Hevington Road).
Consultation will be free of charge to residents who arrived in Australia as part of any Humanitarian program. The clinic will be open Tuesday and Thursday from 0900 to 1200 hours from 26 August 2014.
Michael Jeremy has lived, worked and studied in Syria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mali, Yemen, India, Iran, Germany and Denmark. Michael has worked in the immigration industry for nearly 20 years.

I am so proud to be part of an organisation which not only does the talk but walks the walk. And if we didn't have enough on our plates, we are always looking at ways to positively promote the industry, raise its profile, identify issues, advocate on behalf of colleagues and clients alike and follow through on areas which may require uncomfortable but necessary conversations.
As an Alliance of migration professionals, a monthly contribution of a few hours towards the Auburn clinic or any other clinic that is set up would be absolutely wonderful from each and everyone of us., where ever we are based. Probono work not only 'sharpens' our mind by having to approach issues from different angles and gain further experience for those of us who may be relatively new to this work but it also helps those who would otherwise be severely disadvantaged in this current environment.
it's a win-win situation for all.

This is a great initiative in a challenging environment for Government funded advice services.
This advice is being provided and supported by private individuals without government funding and will be a pilot for "immigration clinics" hosted by RMAs who are members of MA throughout Australia.
I urge you to support this initiative and if you think that your area needs an 'Immigration Clinic" then contact MA and we will do what we can to support you.
The "immigration Clinic" is an initiative of MA by RMAs in support of the wider Australian community.
