I think we all should put our hands together and lodge a petition against this biased rule implemented by ACS. They are keeping the life's of thousands of students at stake and not realizing the detrimental effects of such rules. Any advise or suggestion on this matter is highly recommended. Like above, cooling period or transitional arrangement would be a great help.

Let's join together to save our lives ppl.

If you are going to court then use Christopher levingston who has a proven track record of fighting and winning cases.

I am deeply traumatized by this new change, I will be completing my masters in July 2014 and I am left with no other option but to comply with these new changes. I will advice all the students planning to come to Australia for studies to do otherwise.

Why the heck we all sleeping and doing nothing to change this biased rule ? We all should wake up and lodge a petition in court to provide recent graduates and other affected students a transitional arrangement or a cooling off period.

Come on guyz it's a matter of life not just career. Who is with me ?

On what legal grounds do you reckon you can get this change overturned? Do you have any knowledge of the law??

Yeah whether you are afraid or not really doesn't matter. If you're not afraid, why can't you get a 485 visa and get a job or is it just that you want to use a loophole to migrate and are now blaming the ACS because you can't?

You have now grounds on which to sue the ACS so best of luck. If I were you I'd be focused on finding a way to migrate legally.

I am not threatening ACS for implementing the rule. I am only requesting a transitional arrangement or cooling period for recent grads like me and students who are adversely affected by this rule. FYI, I have already been on 485 visa, migrated legally and I don't need your advise to save my future. I'll take every necessary steps to avert myself from such situation.

    @ Leagleagle

Imagine taking a train for a specific place and the driver decides he will drop us 50 km away from the location we intended to reach. It is our future at stake here and people at ACS can't care less. I am pretty sure a petition can help our cause here because I don't see any harm in trying.

You didn't engage the ACS to deliver you a visa, as that's not what they do. The situation with the train is simply not relevant. There is nothing you can take the ACS to court for. You can, however, comply with the rules and migrate legally if you want.

The professional year course is nothing but a joke/money making scam...
I had a friend who enrolled for it last month. I had meet up with him after a class last week and asked him how the course was going. He said they spent most of the day learning how to greet people and shake hands in the office. An invaluable skill indeed...

    ACS at its finest....
