Liana Allan is probably Australia's best known migration agent. Liana is the owner of Legal Training Australia Pty Ltd which is a professional development firm training Australian migration agents and owner of Visacorp Pty Ltd migration agency. Liana's main passion is serving the needs of the migration agent community and providing migrants with information that can truly assist them as they seek to create a new life in Australia. Liana plays netball twice a week and enjoys great food and the occasional glass of Shiraz. Liana lives in Sydney, Australia and has two children. Liana is married.

Praveen Goyal (pictured below) has created an entity called 'ME Alliance', also known as 'Migration and Education Alliance of Australia'.  

Migration Alliance members have written in and called us to ask us whether the ME Alliance has anything to do with Migration Alliance Inc.  It is on that basis that we have found it necessary to release this information.

Migration Alliance is in no way associated with ME Alliance.

By way of a background, the ME Alliance headed up by Praveen Goyal approached Migration Alliance Inc last year, and if my memory serves me well, perhaps even the year before that.  Mr Goyal attempted on numerous occasions to negotiate with me and Christopher Levingston to establish a new association.  The offer presented to Migration Alliance was, strangely, an almost-replica model of Migration Alliance Inc so naturally we did not proceed.

For people having issues with ImmiAccount the DIBP has today asked agents to send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with a screen shot and explanation of the issue experienced. 

To take a screen shot please press the 'Print Screen' key on your keyboard then paste that onto a word document.  Save the document.  The 'Print Screen' key is usually found in the top row of the keyboard near the F12 key.

Once an email is received, the DIBP will then indetify if the client will become unlawful soon and will prioritise based on the individual case-by-case basis (visa expiry date).

A couple of registered migration agents have reported that ImmiAccount is not working and showing the 'an error has occurred' and 'temporarily unavailable' message on some of the attempted entries. 
Approaching Christmas and the end of the year and ImmiAccount not working.  Makes life pretty hard for RMAs and applicants who need to lodge visa applications before EOY shutdown.

Firefox seems to crash more than Internet Explorer so try using IE to lodge.

Our heartfelt condolences to the victims of the Sydney siege.

The Migration Alliance wishes to express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the Sydney siege. We are shocked and saddened by the incident which we like most people in this peaceful country are still trying to comprehend and come to terms with.

Our thoughts are with the families of the Sydney barrister and mother-of-three Katrina Dawson; and Lindt Café Manager, Tori Johnson who were tragically killed in the incident.
