Delighted that many contentious aspects have been blocked consistently up to this point... There is still a frustration I harbour that we don't know when the bill will be reviewed again... Some pieces from the media commentaries suggest it will be revisited later this year.

Considering I am eligible for citizenship this coming mid-november (1 year PR, 4+ years lawfully by that point), it really will be s***luck that they change the criteria to PR 4 years when I'm within a whisker of doing the application.

Any thoughts or 'in the know' from Migration Alliance on this?

What about people who are illiterate in their own language, despite they have been in Navitas having English classes, they are unable to pass the test. They will be unable to get citizenship at any point or until they get the age to do it?
