Migration Alliance is pleased to support BIG Australia Magazine which will officially launch in July/August 2018. Jason Watt, an RMA member of Migration Alliance is heading up BIG Australia Magazine and has the following to say:
BIG Australia Magazine is the first immigration industry magazine launched from Australia. It is free to follow or read, free to advertise in and free from the bias that often comes with ‘corporate sponsorship’ or paying for advertising.
BIG Australia refers to Business Immigration Group Australia and the online magazine platform is simply the best way to provide information to the global community of immigration professionals.

How it Works For Business
If you have a business based anywhere in the world and you happen to provide B2B services, you can probably also provide services to those in the immigration industry.
If you can coherently communicate what those services are, then you are immediately eligible to write for and advertise in the BIG Australia Magazine. If not, we are here to assist you understand how to market yourself to this niche group of professionals.
The BIG Australia Magazine is not a print publication, after all we are in 2018.
Not Immigration
If you think immigration is not the market you want to target then that’s fine, but we would like to share something with you first.
“As a practitioner, I am in contact with a large number of businesses who want to sponsor overseas workers. If a business client needs something and I can refer or suggest another business, then I am providing my clients a better service.”

Questions?
We should have questions about such an amazing thing… right?
No. We are not charging and as such are not so interested in how many clicks or clients you get. We leave this up to you, but if you’re having a good experience we would love to hear about it.
Yes. We will do our best to remove your logo and articles, however if we have written a review or comparison we may not be able to take it down. Regardless, if you claim the information is incorrect or untrue then we will take the information down and, if we find the information is in fact untrue or incorrect, we will not publish it again.
No. We do not accept sponsorship for the BIG Australia magazine because this would remove the non-bias element we are so proud of. You may however sponsor the events we will be holding, because we tell people at those events the sponsorship does not amount to an endorsement of the product or service you provide.
For example, you may want to speak to us about sponsoring our launch event in late July this year. We have 4 sponsorships available – the funds of which will be used to pay for the event. We will also be holding regular networking and other events to benefit the industry, so we’re open to suggestions as well.
No. We do give our opinion on certain products and services, but we do not ‘endorse’ anyone. We may also recommend, but this is not an endorsement by the magazine only a recommendation from an author or writer.
Yes. We have a registered business name ‘BIG Australia Magazine’ and operate under the founder’s sole trader ABN. We issue invoices for event sponsorship in the name of BIG Australia Magazine, so you can claim this back on advertising/marketing costs if you want.
Yes. We are looking for people to write about immigration from most any perspective, assist with administration and editing, give us ideas about layouts and content and generally get involved with the BIG Australia Magazine.
It’s also a great opportunity for new or student journalists, new or student agents and other similar groups to get experience in their own industry.
Hmm. If you’re a legal practitioner providing other legal services – such as employment Law advice, then yes. If you’re an immigration practice in any sense of the word then maybe. That is, we will ‘spotlight’ 1 immigration practice per month, so long as you submit an article and logo for our consideration.
Content needs to be readable, so consider things like questions, experiences or issues you have had as a new practice, funny situations or areas your breaking into. It’s meant to be a spotlight on you and your practice, not an advertisement for you to get clients from.
