Yesterday's NZ immigration and investment seminar was a brilliant success.
For the 180+ Registered Migration Agents who attended the event at CQU in Sydney yesterday, me being one of them, we soon discovered how much more user-friendly the NZIS is compared to the DIBP.
According to James Hall, who presented on the immigration laws surrounding Investor 1 and Investor 2 visas for New Zealand, the NZIS have a dedicated phone number for immigration advisors, and their managers actually get back to you, with detailed emails, in a timely and helpful manner. The NZIS will even call you back when you leave a message.
Jokes then started about the DIBP from the RMA crowd. Agents told stories about sitting on hold to 131881 for up to two hours, only to be hung up on by the time the call got put through. In the back of my mind I was personally thinking about the motto (do they still use it?) ....."PEOPLE OUR BUSINESS". I digress.
Nonetheless, please find below the presentation by James Hall on the Investor 1 and 2 visas for New Zealand.

Australian Registered Migration Agents learned that if they refer their clients into an off-the-plan investment $2.5 million property in New Zealand, they can earn 2% of this figure as a referral fee (commission). At four clients referred that makes it $200,000.
If you would like to find out more about this then Richard Hail from Conrad Property Group will be holding face-to-face interviews in Sydney next week. If you would like to meet with Richard please email him on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . If you have any general questions please email This email address is being protected from spambots. We are planning to run the same seminars in all major capital cities of Australia. Watch out Australia, New Zealand is after your investor visa clients!
Below are some more photos from the event.
