Satisfying the Training Benchmark Requirements

Your client has an obligation to maintain the training benchmarks for every year of the business sponsorship.

One of the ways which your clients can meet this obligation:

• Expenditure by the business equivalent to 1% of the total payroll of the business on training of Australian and Permanent Residents staff to a training organisation (such as AUSSKILL).

The Department of Immigration requires that the employer makes a commitment to continue their training expenditure required for each financial year that they hold a valid SBS and remain a sponsor of an employee.
