Requesting all Registered Migration Agents attending this dinner to do a favour to us Capped and Ceased 175, 176 and 475 applicants and justice to your roles as Migration Agents by highlighting on that occasion the misery and injustice that the DIBP and Senator Cash has done to us.
Please do justice to your profession as agents who represent migrants, both direct and indirect clients, by taking our message to the lawmakers present there.
Mr Scott Morrison may not be the current Migration Minister but he is of the ruling party and he is also responsible for the direction that the Australian Migration programme has taken.
Please convey to him that it is a very brutal step and it has effectively destroyed our lives and those of our families in Australia who sponsored us. There are people here who have been capped and ceased twice in a row, first in 2010 after applying in 2007 and now in 2015.
We all used legal means to apply, having faith in the Australian system and our Australian families too trusted their lawmakers, we are skilled, with good English and we CAN get jobs in Australia even if our occupations are not in the priority list - after all other onshore with the same set of skilled are having jobs and they were given grants, as were other independent offshores in 175.
By wasting our time - 5-8 years - DIBP has effectively made us ineligible to apply again due to our age.
There were initially 31000 applicants in Priority 5, almost all on shore and off shores have been processed and granted visas. There were 15500 family sponsored applicants, out of which some family sponsored off shores in 496 and all on shores in 886 were given grants. And all this happened between 2012 to 2015. So effectively that left just ¼ of the total number of Priority 5s who couldn’t have been more than 7000-8000 and could have been finished soon.
No valid justification has been offered for this cruel step of Cap and Cease for there is none. It was a poor move by an immigration minister, that too an assistant minister, without any prior notice.
PLEASE HIGLIGHT OUR CASE AND HELP US BY CONVEYING OUR REQUEST FOR TAKING BACK THIS CRUEL ORDER AND STARTING THE PROCESSING OF OUR VISA APPLICATIONS.
It is better to be remembered as a lawmaker who cared for people and revisited and revoked an order when it wasn’t fair and approved, rather than one who cared little for the trust that was placed in them by their own nationals and voters when they sponsored their own close family members.
Thank you and hoping all those who attend this dinner will remember us that night.

I am writing in reference of my application for Australia.
I am an applicant affected by the UNFAIR CAP AND CEASE DECISION DECLARED BY DIBP ON SEPTEMBER 2015. Is is the SECOND TIME that I have my application ceased.
First time in 2010. All I wanted to do is just enter Australia Legally from the main door by applying legally and waiting DIBP to proceed with my application since 2009 .
I was advised to wait or to withdraw my application without any refund before but I did not expect that DIBP will declare that inhuman and unfair CAP and CEASE decision twice.
Please with all respect if there is any favor to proceed with my 176 family sponsored migrant offshore applications and many others group 5 offshore applicants too.
    Your support would deeply appreciated.

To all the agents attending the dinner, we request you to highlight the injustice done to 175,176 and 475 visas. We lodged valid visas legally. Our sponsors are Australian citizens and voters and are feeling completely let down by the unfair policies of the immigration department. We and our sponsors are doing everything possible to challenge this decision but would need more support in our fight. Please help us by raising your voices towards the injustice done

Hi! I applied to the Australian permanent residence in 2009 under subclass visa 176 ( offshore). I waited for 6 long years and all I got was a cap and cease e-mail. Please reconsider this decision of your government. We - 475,175 and 176 have been patient and waited. We all spent our fortunes to get the PR. We all deserve the visa. Please speak on our behalf by highlighting this injustice.
    Thank you
