A change in how the DIBP would like RMAs to communicate with them

Migration Alliance met with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection on Monday this week.

It used to be the protocol that MA member agents could write to Migration Alliance, and then Migration Alliance would email a central address at MAS (Migration Agents Section) in Canberra for and on behalf of agent members.

This is no longer the protocol.

The DIBP have requested that if agents would like to communicate with the DIBP regarding complaints or processes, difficult case officers, delays, and so forth that for now,  agents use the Global Feedback Unit.

The Department has made it clear that they are 'not in bed with any organisation' and that no favours are being done for any one organisation, association or peak body over another.

Here is a link to the Global Feedback Unit online form.
