OMARA has NOT been involved in the creation of the blacklists
The following was an email I sent to the CEO of the Office of the MARA this morning:
Hi XXXXX
Has the Office of the MARA or previous MARA under MIA been involved in the creation or maintenance of the blacklists / s? The lists are 'agents of concern' or 'agents of interest' or 'Safeguard' lists. MAS have been involved in emails regarding these lists.
We can see that they have been in operation until last month from the FOI on the DIBP website.
Response from the CEO of the Office of the MARA:
....... the OMARA has not been involved in the creation or maintenance of those lists. There was no discussion with us about them.
NB Permission to publish the CEO's response to me was granted by the CEO before publishing.
