Breaking Australian immigration news brought to you by Migration Alliance and associated bloggers.
It goes without saying that the Australian migration industry as a whole has been rocked by the antics of Mr Eddy Kang. Now, a RMA within the Registered Migration Agent profession, a new RMA, comes forward to tell her story about how she got caught up in the scandal.
Again, I have to ask what is the Office of the MARA doing about this? Is there anything on their website or have there been any warnings to RMAs by news blast or email (in furtherance of their protection of our profession)? Or is the Office of the MARA our adversary? I will leave it at that.
Please find below the interview with Cinia which tells her story.

Cinia should be applauded for coming forward and bring this story to us. She is a brave woman who placed her integrity before the need to make money. She has been waiting a long time for some action to be taken against Mr. Edward Kang so let us all hope that the DIBP will do something soon.
It was clear in Cinia's case that she was about to be used as a pawn for Mr. Kang. There office even sent her a text message after she left asking her to come back so they could use her MARA number to lodge applications.
There is a growing anger regarding DIBP’s inaction on Kang to date so I hope the Minister is paying attention to the developments.
As MA has already posted there is a meeting tonight for affected individuals who feel they are victims of Mr. Kang.

Hi Cinia,
I sincerely hope you do continue in the migration advice profession. It would be such a waste that potential clients may lose the services of an obviously dedicated person who has committed so much effort [as we all have] to be here in the first place. That complaints fall on deaf ears is demonstrative of why MARA should be handed back to a non-Government body, like MA. After all, courts do not control registration of lawyers. We all suffer bad experiences from time to time that make us question our career choice but I ask that you follow the following;
Illegitimi non carborundum- Don't let the bastards wear you down!
