The Grinch (you know who) are gearing up for Christmas which means that every outstanding decision and case you have ever filed is going to be decided between now and Christmas Eve. You will receive emails, NOICC, Cancellations, refusals of SBS/Noms, PIC 4020, Natural Justice letters, OMARA complaints, in fact everything you do not need at this time.

My spies are telling me that the SAF payments are going into consolidated revenue and are not being held aside to skill Australians.

Quite apart from the "no refund" "policy" this programme is clearly out of control.

Welcome to our Brave new World..

The Migration Amendment (Family Violence and Other Measures) Bill 2016 was passed yesterday and is awaiting Royal Assent.

That ACT when assented to, paves the way for regulations to require, amongst other things, a prior approval of a Sponsor BEFORE a valid application is lodged.

The recent decision in the case of Brown V Minister for Home Affairs being  an appeal from a decision at the FCC is of interest to the profession.
