I have been referred to a WA website where, apparently it is being suggested that a law degree and being admitted to practice as a solicitor may be the best choice if you have to choose lawyer or RMA?

I have been both a Solicitor and an RMA since before 1993 ( actually since 1988...I can't be sure but I think they were just building the pyramids) and I can honestly say that it is "Horses for Courses".

If I had a contentious matter with serious legal issues to be tried then I would engage a Solicitor if things had gone off the rails at the AAT and I wanted to go to the FCC.

A member of Migration Alliance has alerted us to a website where we have found the Migration Alliance logo being used and the words 'Member of Migration Alliance' next to it. 

So why this post?

The Migration Alliance website has a huge international ranking which means that anyone doing a google search is going to get this post as their first result.

Could threatening your intimate partner in the context of a spouse 820/801 be relevant to a claim of "Family Violence"?

Apart from being behaviour that is less than optimal it appears that such behaviour will be relevant to the opinion of the IE.

I have just exchanged 9 emails from a panicky lady who rang me about a Natural Justice letter which requires her to respond to an allegation that the defacto she has included in her application is not in a genuine relationship with her.

She has had the letter for 2 weeks and has already spoken to another "lawyer".

She thinks she can dodge the allegation by withdrawing her application and applying on her own account...

Apparently Border Force have been to work....
