After much effort and convincing Fernando Tostado, also known as "Fer" amongst the migration agent community, has left Bupa and joined the team Allianz Global Assistance as the National Business Development Manager, International Health.

Fer is the most energetic and helpful health insurance partner that any migration agent could want to do business with.  I can personally vouch for him.   I even suggested that Allianz Global Assistance bring him on board!  My wish for us all has come true.  Fer is back!

This week I received an anonymous call to my mobile phone from a male person.  The male, who refused to identify himself, claims to have been in the courtroom some time in the the past week, where he was expecting Eddy Kang to show up and face charges.

Eddy Kang did not show up and and has now disappeared.  It seems he is now 'on the run'.

If anyone happens to run into Eddy Kang or knows of his whereabouts please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Many agents are still trying to complete all their annual 10 CPD points via distance learning (private study) then submitting their re-registration application to the Office of the MARA.

The Office of the MARA are asking RMAs who have done this to go back and do 5 extra CPD from Category A activities.  The law changed on 1 January 2018 and transitional exemptions no longer exist.

Distance Learning (Private Study) is a Category B activity and RMAs must only do a maximum of 5 Category B Activities per registration year towards their 10 points for re-registration.

At least 5 CPD activities should be from Category A every registration year. Examples of Category A activities would be webinar workshops and face-to-face workshops.
