Orana DAMA changes

The following email was received from Orana this afternoon:

What the changes to the DAMA mean

New occupations and concessions

The Orana DAMA provides business owners in our region access to overseas workers, providing flexibility and responsiveness not available through the standard skilled migration programs.

Each year we are able to request a variation based on the needs of businesses in our region. You spoke and we listened.

There are many changes, which include additional occupations now being available, greater concessions across English Language, Skills, qualifications, and experience, and the introduction of an age concession across all occupations under the Orana DAMA.

Of particular note is that businesses that are based in the Orana region now have access to 32 additional occupations:

  • Accounts Clerk
