RMAs who are moderate to high-risk for COVID-19 should AVOID attending face-to-face CPD events

If you are a Registered Migration Agent and you are booked in to attend a face-to-face CPD event then it is our recommendation that you contact your CPD provider if you pose a medium or high-risk for COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Details from the Australian Government on this are as follows:

https://www.health.gov.au/sites/default/files/documents/2020/03/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-universities-higher-education-and-vocational-education-facilities-their-students-and-staff-coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-universities-higher-education-and-vocational-education-fa.pdf

If you believe you are medium to high-risk then please notify your CPD provider immediately and advise of your personal circumstances to determine whether alternate arrangements for remote learning can be temporarily put in place.

By way of example, Legal Training Australia has been removing agents from its face-to-face classes over the last month, and providing full refunds in situations where an agent is deemed by the Director to be medium to high-risk.  Agents who have been removed from face-to-face events then take up online classes such as Category A webinars and Category B distance learning to meet their annual CPD requirements.

For agents who are interested in monitoring the spread of Coronavirus globally then this live map is helpful:
