Time; it’s something we could all do with a little bit more of, especially when you run your own migration business. One of the biggest skills you gain as a small business owner is the ability to wear many hats at once.
One minute you are using your expertise as a Registered Migration Agent to secure your clients a visa, the next you might be creating a marketing strategy for your business, handling payroll, balancing your books or even coaching your employees.
And as a registered Migration agent there’s no room for error. Clients depend on you to help them with major life events and decisions, and its up to you to deliver. So, it makes sense to use apps and programs that will help you stay organized, keep track of tasks, and reduce the possibility of error across your business. Apps can streamline the process of booking client appointments and taking payments. They allow you to share and store documents across your business, create to-do lists, delegate tasks, communicate with employees and clients, and more.
Here are some of our favourite apps for registered migration agents:
Toggl: Monitoring time within the workplace can often be a challenge, but fortunately there’s an app for that! The easy to use interface of Toggl is made to make your work life easier helping you track time and money spent on projects. You can also view what tasks are outstanding and what roadblocks need to be addressed. You can start tracking in your browser with all entries synced from your phone, apps, desktop apps and the Toggl Chrome ext. This app is a great way to manage workflow when your business gets busy.
Zapier: Chances are you work with multiple platforms and apps, and wish they could all talk to each right? Enter Zapier. As the speedy name suggests this app is all about bringing together different platforms and integrating them in the one place.
This is an app that is all about productivity and is popular with Registered Migration Agents, who are usually working on major or multiple projects at a time. As a Registered Migration Agent, you want to spend your time doing what you do best – securing people the right kind of visa. You don’t want to spend hours each day faffing around with fiddly admin.
Dropbox: The beauty of being a Registered Migration Agent is that you can choose when and where you work. You can work remotely and online, in the office, at home and even from your local café. Dropbox makes sharing documents and images instant and easy. Simple to use, this cloud-based app can be accessed anywhere in the world via both mobile and desktop. There are free and paid plan options available.
Evernote: This app is a great one for Registered Migration agents who like to work in less traditional ways, or who may be a little more creative. Evernote is a cloud based app that collects images, voice recordings, documents, photos, webpages, Siri commands and a variety of other resources, storing them securely all in the one place. The free version is limited but is a good way to test out it’s functionality and features.
Skype: An oldie but a goodie, Skype connects people across the globe in a click of a mouse, and is still one of the most popular VOIP apps on the market. Skype allows for users to video and voice chat with each other via mobiles, tablets, computers and smart watches so long as they are connected to the internet. Users can also communicate via messaging and texting and images. This is especially useful fro Registered Migration Agents whose clients may be located overseas.
Buffer: Registered Migration Agents cannot neglect their advertising. Social media marketing is key to the success of any business. So think of Buffer as your scheduling assistant when it comes to all things social media. It takes the hassle out of having to remember when to schedule your posts for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc and can be done in the click of a button.
The beauty of this app is that you can share one post across multiple platforms, and Buffer will even recommend the best time to post.
Edison: Connecting to services such as your email and calendars, once authenticated this app is all about saving you valuable minutes by looking for things it can easily get done. It also acts as a reminder and may prompt you to schedule a birthday message for a Facebook friend in advance. As a Registered Migration Agent, you know how hectic your days can get. Using an app like Edison can free you up valuable minutes to work on your business or to simply give yourself some time to sit back and breath.
SignNow: Your business definitely requires the frequent use of signatures, and that is why you will love SignNow . The app allows for you to sign documents and collect signatures from anywhere without the use of a printer, fax or scanner. It also has the function to capture photo ID’s and an offline mode for when you may have a bad internet connection and the ability to turn a picture into a PDF.

Interesting, and what did you use to create this 'best list' - certainly not security, or anything else professional IT reviewers use. What encryption does Dropbox use? and which plan is that exactly? do your apps integrate to the most comon word processer in the world? or not so much....
Thanks, but i would rather read actual professional reviews than someone's personal user list.
