That’s so funny. DIBP, so is that!!
No wonder it takes so long for processing when they are going to invest so much time concerning them self with so much history.
Q 98,221 of Form 80, update 2015: If we could track your family origins back to the dinosaur age- what dinosaur did you evolve from?
Q 98,222: If you could choose a spices of dinosaur, What would it have been?
HAHA!
We have been working on this form for a family client since it changed but very hard to complete that. They said their old passport was taken when they got new passport, so impossible to provide the date of traveling outside their home country back to 20 years . They were exhaust by these questions.
Hi Liana -
Not sure if you saw it yet but DIBP recently issued a new form 80 (dated 04/2014) where the 30 year requirement for travel and address history has been backtracked to the previous requirement of 10 years for all but refugee and humanitarian visa applicants – I can only assume MA did some lobbying in this regard – great outcome!

Well agree wholeheartedly with all the comments. I helped my son do his citizenship within the last 2 years and could not remember doing this Form 80. Phoned Immigration and got a curt woman (previous call was to a very helpful and polite young man). When I asked if it was recent I was told its always been in since Ive been here and virtually said if the application says do it - DO IT. Maybe shes only been there for a short time. Dunno' how we'll do it but do it we must. All for someone who came here when a child in 1981 has never left and never been in trouble with the law. Madness. A police clearance as well which should suffice.
Hi everyone,
Can somebody tell me that if someone previously submitted a form 80, and forgot to enter some important information then if She/he apply for the next visa, will their previous form 80 details compared with the new one? And if it is then what will be the effect of that?
Thanks
Yep DIBP wants to know everything so they can tell everyone!
That sounds fair.
