"I am pleased to introduce the Australian Passports Amendment (Identity-matching Services) Bill 2019.
This bill will provide a clear legal basis for ensuring that the foreign minister is able to direct the automation of the sharing of passport data for the purposes of national security. This legislation responds to the Commonwealth and the states and territories' decision at a special meeting of the Council of Australian Governments held on 5 October 2017.

"The bill will give effect to government policy that holders of new provisional skilled regional visas, which come into effect on 16 November 2019, will have access to government services consistent with skilled
permanent visa holders.

The new provisional skilled regional visas are set out in the Migration Amendment (New Skilled Regional
Visas) Regulations 2019.

Migration (LIN 19/147: Arrangements for Sponsorship for Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa) Instrument 2019
This instrument specifies the process for approval as a family sponsor for a Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa (TSPV) in relation to a specified form in which to apply for approval for the purposes of paragraph 2.61A(3)(b) of the Migration Regulations 1994 and the specified fee for the application of approval for the purposes of paragraph 2.61A(3)(c) of the regulations.

Migration (LIN 19/188: Arrangement for Approval and Variation of Approval for a Temporary Parent Sponsor) Instrument 2019
This instrument operates to specify the form and fee required for applications for approval as a family sponsor and applications for variation of approval as a parent sponsor, and repeals the Migration (LIN 19/147: Arrangements for Sponsorship for Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa) Instrument 2019.
