Australian businesses and start-ups will have streamlined access to the best and brightest talent from around the world with the continuation of the Global Talent - Employer Sponsored program (GTES), formerly the Global Talent Scheme.

Following a successful pilot last financial year, the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs David Coleman has made the GTES an ongoing program.

The following message is displayed on the NSW Mid North Coast RDA website:

ATTENTION – SRS 489 Visa EOI’s OPEN

Expression of Interests for the Skilled Regional Sponsored Visa (489) program on the NSW Mid North Coast will close at 11.59pm ESDT on Thursday 22 August 2019.

Any EOIs received after 11:59pm Thursday 22 August 2019 will not be processed or accepted. 

The Skilled Occupation list for the NSW Mid North Coast can be found here : NSW 489 Skilled Occupation List 

EOI’s for Occupations NOT included in the above list for the Mid North Coast will NOT be processed. Invitations for Full Application will be issued by Monday 26 August 2019. Applications must be received by Friday 30 August 2019. Information can be found here regarding the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) subclass 491 visa which will replace the Skilled Regional Nominated (489)

The Department of Home Affairs ('Home Affairs') has announced a new Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) to replace the current Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489).

The new subclass 491 visa ('491 visa') will commence on 16 November 2019, and the subclass 489 visa ('489 visa') will cease at 11.59 pm on 15 November 2019.

Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 489) Central West nominations are currently closed again due to the high number of registrations we have received.

At this time we are unable to advise when nominations will reopen.

If you have already submitted your registration it will be assessed and RDACW will provide an email notification to individuals and Migration Agents if the ‘Registration of Interest’ was not successful on this occasion. 

If successful you will receive an Invitation to apply.
