This was followed by an update on Immigration Program Management and Delivery: Skilled and Investment Visas, and Temporary Migration, Update on Global Talent Initiative. Lastly a stern update on provision of unlawful migration assistance and an update on migration advice industry.
Based on the content delivered on the day, it remains clear that immigration will remain as a primary focus both for the state as well as the federal government with plenty of other changes on the horizon including revision of skilled occupation lists due to be released in March 2020.
