Bogus RMA gets jail time

My colleague in Cairns (John Young) became aware that a certain Sukhwant Sona Singh Bela was the author of a scam to rip off many individuals of his own community who were being stung for $50K each.

This man then falsified documentation in support of these applications and was representing himself as being an RMA.

An investigation was launched and Sukhwant Sona Singh Bela was caught on telephone intercepts making false statements about his capacity and his status as an RMA amongst other things.

Here is a link to the article as it appeared in the Cairns Post;

http://www.cairnspost.com.au/news/cairns/former-cairns-businessman-gets-three-and-a-half-years-jail-for-97-counts-of-immigration-crime/news-story.

This crook would not have been brought to account without the vigilance of the RMA concerned and the hard work of the Commonwealth DPP and the AFP.

I urge all of my colleagues to be vigilant and when they believe there is some wrong doing taking place to alert the authorities so that action might be taken.

If you are concerned that you may have some exposure or that you are concerned that there may be repercussions ask me to help and I will dob them in!
