I am in receipt of the following email which I would like to share with the Migration Alliance membership, in particular, women:

Dear Liana,

As a result of the overwhelming response from the all sectors, this message is to inform you that limited funding remains for scholarship grant applications submitted prior to Monday November 30th.

At the recent announcement of the National Industry Scholarship Grant Initiative that will support the development of women leaders in all sectors the Hon. Julia Gillard praised the initiative for its important role in enabling the advancement of women into higher levels of leadership.

In line with the national ambition of the initiative to support the development of Australian women leaders, the National Scholarship Grant Committee invites Migration Alliance to share details of the initiative with its women members.

To ensure equitable distribution of the remaining funds provisioned for the development of women employed in the health care sector it is appropriate that the information is disseminated by a respected organisation within the industry. Accordingly, the National Scholarship Grant Committee invites Migration Alliance to share details of the initiative with its women members. Should your association be in a position to continue the support of the initiative, please find attached a short message that would be suitable for your members. If you require the message in a different format please advise accordingly.
