Breaking Australian immigration news brought to you by Migration Alliance and associated bloggers. Please email help@migrationalliance.com.au
Amerah is right - it is very confusing for those who are not working closely with Migration Alliance that they are not us and we are not them... and so we can all be forgiven to see this as deceptive, unprofessional and unethical. Why do some individuals or organisations get on this bandwagon of confusing its intended target group? perhaps they don't feel they can get any business unless they pass themselves as something else - there are lots of court cases related to the theft of intellectual property, plagiarism, opportunistic manouvering, misleading and deceptive conduct and, of course, false advertising. Perhaps people don't set out to end up this way but it's stirred a hornet's nest and needs to be sorted out.
An unfortunate and needless situation. Thank you Amera and everyone who has raised this with us.
Yes, exactly. The problem is what Amera and many others have raised - lots of people don't quite realise what it is until they sign up to, or are spammed with, ME Alliance's emails. Very poor form from someone who one would think should know better as these things are quickly known within the industry... oh well...
Thanks for sharing your views. ME asks for subscription to receive their newsletter but still send it sometimes twice in 15 minutes (I received the same email at 1.35 and 1.45 pm on 2/3), that means whether you subscribe or not you WILL STILL BE BOMBARDED WITH ME EMAILS. That is really strange!!!!
If MA members and others are concerned about getting unsolicited emails or continuing to receive emails after unsubscribing from them, then write to them and to ACMA, if the situation doesn't resolve itself.
The link below explains in plain English, what constitutes spams (which is something we should all be aware and prevent if we run a commercial website):

The link to the SPAM page in the ACMA website (the justweb article links to ACMA are out of date - the above ACMA link is correct):

I have lodged a complaint about ME Alliance sending me wrong information - migration advice - on email.
Here is the place to lodge a complaint about them http://www.acma.gov.au/Citizen/Stay-protected/My-mobile-world/Dealing-with-mobile-spam/spam-complaint-form-email
I can't say more than I was thoroughly confused and still find it disconcerting to receive the ME email because they are so easily confused with MA. If MA does decide to take action, I would provide a witness statement to that effect.
