Breaking Australian immigration news brought to you by Migration Alliance and associated bloggers.
I guess this shows us a little bit more detail about 'What PNG is getting out of this'. I am not sure this really is a solution to the 'boat people' problem facing Australia since the Labor government came into power, but what it does do is give migrants and migration agents a little more of the nitty gritty on the 'arrangement'. I still can't see PNG getting a whole lot of of this deal. Will they be sending Women? Children? I don't think so.
Anyway, the link to the new arrangement can be found below and is taken from the DIAC website:

Is this yet another knee-jerk reaction to a serious and emerging problem at Australia's borders? With the elections coming on 7 September, perhaps if there is a change of government this will be completely scapped.
And now Scott Morrison is comparing the PNG policy to Bob Hawke's 'no children in poverty' pledge: http://www.theage.com.au/federal-politics/federal-election-2013/kevin-rudds-png-policy-compared-to-bob-hawkes-children-and-poverty-pledge-20130807-2rer8.html?rand=1375844591375
Have to agree with you Scott.
