The following message is displayed on the RDA Central West website:

RDACW processing dates for Round One will be adhered to:

  • Registration open 5th August  and close by 9th August
  • Full applications will be required within 7 days following an ‘Invitation to Apply’
  • RDACW referrals will close 2nd September

Regional Development Australia Central West (RDACW) are working in partnership with the NSW Department of Industry to deliver the 489 Program in NSW for the Central West Region.

For a map of the RDA Central West region go to RDACW region map.

RDA Central West has developed a list of eligible occupations for the 489 Program and in accordance with the State partnership can select and refer candidates for NSW Nomination.  The Central West Skills Occupation List includes occupation criterium specific to the needs of business and industry in the region.

Click here for the RDA Central West Occupation list 2019/20.  Please ensure your occupation is listed on the Central West Skills Occupation list before you register.  Registrations for occupations that are not on the 2019/2020 list will not be accepted.

RDA Central West have a two-step process for applying for the Skilled Regional 489 Visa nomination.  The two-step process will assist RDACW in managing the number of applications received against referral places for occupations.  Occupations will be closed as referral places are filled. RDACW has limited referral places available for each occupation listed.

The Two-Step Process:

Step One – ‘Registration of Interest’:
RDACW will require some key information and documents via the online form on our website.  The documents required for registration can be up-loaded (file upload) to the form.  There is no cost (no fees) to register.  Registrations will be processed as quickly as possible (estimated up to 3 weeks).

Step Two – ‘Invitation to Apply’:
RDACW will request a full application for NSW Nomination via email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  Applications will be processed in 6 weeks from the time of receipt by RDACW.
