South Australia 

South Australian Government published an updated state occupation list with certain occupations now being subject to special conditions.  Examples include the following occupations: 

135112 – ICT Project Manager – special conditions for this occupation were updated on 14 September 2018 including the requirement for an applicant to have a proficient English as well as minimum score of at least 70 points 

139914 – Quality Assurance Manager – special conditions for this occupation were updated 16 August 2018 including a requirement for an applicant to have proficient English.  Applicants holding 489 visa as well as offshore applicants are eligible for this occupation 

139913 –Laboratory Manager – special conditions for this occupation were updated 14 July 2018 including a requirement for an applicant to have proficient English.  Applicants holding 489 visa as well as offshore applicants are eligible for this occupation 

223211 – ICT Trainer – special conditions for this occupation were updated 06 July 2018 including a requirement for an applicant to have proficient English.  Applicants holding 489 visa as well as offshore applicants are eligible for this occupation.  This visa is not available for applicants on high points unless they are a holder of subclass 489 visa 

232214 – Other Spatial Scientist – special conditions apply to this occupation which were updated on 24 July 2018.  Competent English or (Proficient Overall) is the minimum requirement

232411 – Graphics Designer – special conditions apply to this occupation which were updated on 11 July 2018.   Competent English is the minimum requirement.  The applicant must hold a subclass 489 visa be outside Australia 

252711 – Audiologist – special conditions apply to this occupation which were updated on 9 August 2018.  Proficient English as well as 3 years of work experience in the relevant field is the minimum requirement 

254418 – Registered Nurse (Medical) - special conditions apply to this occupation which were updated on 10 September 2018.  Special conditions include at least five years of experience in the field. 

261212 – Web Developer – special conditions apply to this occupation from 16 August 2018.  Applicants must have at least 70 points and Proficient English.

New South Wales 

The skilled regional nominated (489) visa is a provisional skilled visa that allows you to live and work in regional NSW for up to four years. This visa provides a pathway to permanent residence. If you hold this visa and live for at least two years and work for at least one year in a specified region of NSW, you may be eligible to apply for a permanent visa at a later stage. 

New South Wales updated their Regional – Northern Inland List on 7 September 2018.

121299 - Crop Farmers (nec) 

121411 - Mixed Crop and Livestock Farmer
