The Joint Standing Committee on Migration is holding a public hearing as part of its inquiry into the efficacy of current regulation of Australian migration agents on:

VENUE: Macquarie Room, Parliament of New South Wales, 6 Macquarie Street, Sydney
Five (5) Representatives from Migration Alliance are invited to attend the hearing at 12:30 pm to give oral evidence.

If you are selected to attend on behalf of Migration Alliance as a witness, you will be required to complete and sign a Hansard Witness Form, which will be provided to you by Migration Alliance.
Witnesses will be required at the hearing venue and asked to make contact with secretariat staff at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appearance time. Any opening statements made should take no longer than 5 minutes to allow sufficient time for questions and discussion.
We will send information to witnesses on the procedures to be observed by the Committee for the protection of witnesses and an information sheet for witnesses at hearings. Please also refer to the brochure, Appearing at a Public Hearing, for additional useful information including what you can expect to take place on the day, and the rights and obligations of witnesses. Witnesses should note that Committee proceedings are usually conducted in public, and are broadcast. Members of the media and other observers may also be present. The entire hearing will start at 11:00 am and will conclude at approximately 1 pm. All migration agents are invited to attend the public hearing even if they are not officially representing Migration Alliance on the day. We encourage agents to attend from 11 am to 1 pm.
