    Hi,

If I understand this right based on all comments above, age limit has been increased to 35 by the Australian government, but Australia is still waiting for their bileratal counterpart countries to sign on to this? Until then, it remains 30 for all as seen here:
    https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2017L00861
Because it would still depend on the country of passport to increase it to 35 as well?

Kind of. The Australian government has modified the "instrument" so they can easily change the age of individual countries as they each start reciprocating. Some countries may never change, so will over the next few months and years. Patience young padawan ;-)

^^^^ Lies, until a reciprocal agreement has been reached with these countries, 18 to 30 will remain until further notice. Written In black and white on the immi website........

Hi can you please tell me if Australians that are aged over 31 can obtain a working visa in the UK now?

    Hi!
    Any news about this visa?
    Thank you!

    Any news? Yes and No....

Aus have agreed to put the limit in and SOME countries have done the same back, meaning they have now gone up to 35.

Others, such as the UK where I am from haven't yet returned the favour so it's still ( annoyingly ) 18-30 for the UK.

I check each month for the 417 in the hope that it has gone up, and essentially that's all any of us from various nations CAN do.

    Thank you! And good luck!
Where can I check the countries that have put the limit age?

Good question - don't know the answer to that.

All I know is my end ( UK ) when I go to look at the 417 visa on the official website, it says 18-30 and ' looking into possible change ' which could happen any month - however if it doesn't happen this I don't see it happening for at least another six months.

From my point of view, I don't see the UK happening due to Brexit and other far more pressing issues than this for quite some time.

Anyone know if the UK is even looking at changing the age this year ?
    Cheers

Luke as much as I'd like it to change due to being 32, having done my 88 days on the farm and otherwise being very eligible for my second year visa.... I don't see it changing any time this year.

Just a hunch, however wish it would!
