Breaking Australian immigration news brought to you by Migration Alliance and associated bloggers. Please email help@migrationalliance.com.au
For those who may have missed my post from late last week about the "United Profession" ticket for the board of our sister organisation, the Migration Institute of Australia, I am re-posting it:
Members of the Migration Alliance are encouraged to nominate for positions to the board of our sister organization, the Migration Institute of Australia on MA’s “United Profession” ticket in the upcoming elections for MIA’s Board of Directors. Nominations for the MIA Board are open until 6 October 2015.
The form that can be used to nominate for the Board can be found at the following link:

RMAs will be aware that the memberships of Migration Alliance and the Migration Institute overlap almost completely – practically everyone in the profession belongs to both organisations. MA and MIA are the two strongest associations that advocate for the interests of migrants and of Registered Migration Agents in Australia, and that are involved in efforts to inform, educate and strengthen the profession.
And while we would never argue with the proposition that “Two heads are better than one” we also believe that it is truly important that RMAS speak together with one strong and united voice.
For that reason, we are encouraging members of MA to nominate for positions on the MIA Board as part of our “United Profession” ticket. With strong representation from Migration Alliance on the MIA’s Board, RMAs will be in a better position than ever to make sure that our views are presented clearly and persuasively to the Department.
We are seeking to include a diverse cross-section of RMA’s on the United Profession ticket, and to include representation from as many different ethnicities and nationalities as possible.
A United Profession ticket will bring fresh ideas, fresh energy, and fresh enthusiasm to the MIA!!!
So won’t you join us on the United Profession ticket?
