Migration Alliance headlines in Canberra Times today re OMARA review
"Migration agents say a section of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection regulating them is overpaid and overstaffed.
The agents have called for the Migration Agents Registration Authority to be taken out of the department to strengthen the organisation's independence."

It's about time that the Department and indeed the Federal Government stop sitting on the Independent review outcomes and that BOTH lead the way on cutting back red tape. It was called for in September 2014 and 5 months later, we are still waiting with no word as to its progress. Migration Alliance made significant comments and contributions to the reivewand I'd like to see feedback as well as action. How long is a piece of string? depends on who's pulling it, it seems...
