Are we likely to see current staff detas further down the line to Manager level in the various branches of State Offices? This information was always very useful in days gone by and helped to foster good relations between the Department and Registered Migration Agents.

It is amazing that senior staff outnumber the that of general skilled visa case officers and onshore partner visa case officers. Too many chefs, not enough bottle-washers! Does DIBP really need a Chief Scientist? I wonder what the assistant Secretary for Capability Design Task Force does? Please don't ask or another 12 public servants will be employed to explain the role and another 24 to explain the tasks of those 12.
