MIA members have sent the following message which has gone out today on MIA letterhead:
Dear Members,
I wish to advise you that I have tendered my resignation as CEO of the MIA.
I believe I have served the Institute diligently and actively worked to effectively promote professionalism and the representation of its members with government and the community to provide valuable services to you.
After nearly 5 years in the role and prior to that as a government appointed community representative for the former Conduct Advisory Panel for MIA/OMARA in the late 1990’s it will be sad to move on.
I believe the MIA, with its highest ever membership and public recognition is in a very strong position for the future.
It has been a pleasure for me working for our membership.
Please accept my personal thanks for your support in the endeavours of the MIA.
Yours sincerely,
Maurene Horder
