The Office of the MARA has suspended Facebook podcast host, Monica Gruszka for a period of 3 years. Ms Gruszka and her associate, Mark Northam, an immigration lawyer previously hosted "The Migration Show" podcast.

Allianz Care Australia is excited to start welcoming overseas visitors and students into Australia again
and would like to take this opportunity to refresh RMA knowledge on Overseas Student (OSHC) and Overseas Visitors Health Cover (OVHC).

About the AAA course

The Allianz Care Agent Accreditation Program (AAA) has been designed specifically for RMAs, and includes a refresher on compliance requirements and product knowledge. These skills are essential to promoting and selling Allianz Care Australia OSHC and OVHC products and services.  The program will guide RMAs through the key compliance elements of selling Allianz care health cover products while building on your skills, product knowledge and providing an overview of the apps and tools available to policy holders (your clients).

Purpose
The purpose of the instrument is to update the approved place and manner for making an application for Refugee and Humanitarian (Class XB) visa (Class XB visa).

The Class XB visa includes the Subclass 200 (Refugee) visa, Subclass 201 (In-country Special Humanitarian) visa, Subclass 202 (Global Special Humanitarian) visa, Subclass 203 (Emergency Rescue) visa and the Subclass 204 (Woman at Risk) visa.

Migration Alliance congratulates Hon Clare O'Neil, Member for Hotham on her appointment to Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Cyber Security.

The instrument amends Migration (IMMI 18/076: Arrangements for Other Family Visa Applications and New Zealand (Family Relationship) Visa Applications) Instrument 2018 (F2018L00772) (IMMI 18/076) and Migration (IMMI 18/089: Arrangements for Other Visas) Instrument 2018 (F2018L00940) (IMMI 18/089) in accordance with subsection 33(3) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901.

That subsection provides that a power to make a legislative instrument includes a power to amend or repeal that instrument in the same manner, and subject to the same conditions, as the power to make the instrument. This means that subregulation 2.07(5) of the Regulations also include a power to amend or repeal an instrument made under that provision.
