| Details | STRICT DRESS CODE FOR THIS EVENT IS LISTED BELOW UNDER 'INSTRUCTIONS' FRIDAY 8:00am -9.30am: 34025 - Ethics and Professional Practice (Mandatory CPD) - 1 core point This seminar examines the practical implications for an agent adhering to the criteria set out in the Code of Conduct to ensure that all standards of behaviour are consistent with the code. The seminar will cover all aspects of professional conduct, issues of confidentiality and the requirements to effectively communicate with all clients of differing backgrounds. Case studies will highlight the areas of both ethical and non ethical conduct to ensure that all agents are made aware of their obligations. 9:45am -11.15am: 34220 - Temporary Business Sponsorship - 1 core point The temporary business sponsorship program is one of the most complex programs administered by DIAC with important changes expected throughout 2010. An overview of the threshold criteria with emphasis on Schedule 2 criteria will be examined with presentations from both experienced practitioners and DIAC Managers. 11:30am -1:00pm: 34226 - General Skilled Migration - 1 core point This seminar looks at the threshold criteria and general overview of both the onshore and offshore GSM options. The points test, evidentiary requirements and recent legislative changes will be examined with emphasis on developing strategies to manage GSM applications in this new legislative environment. 2:00pm -3.30pm: 34229 - The Employer Nomination Scheme - 1 core point The Employer nomination scheme is currently one of the popular categories for skilled workers in light of the recent changes within General skilled migration. This seminar examines its relationship with the temporary business entry program and will also address Regional skilled Migration Scheme and Labour Agreements. Current legislation, policy and processing arrangements as well as waivers with the ENS and RSMA program will be discussed further. DIAC managers and experienced practitioners will present this seminar. 3:45pm -5.15pm: 34233 - Regional Pathways to Permanent Migration - 1 core point Sometimes a client will only be eligible if they can get regional sponsorship. This pathway is full of pitfalls and unexpected twists and turns. This seminar will take the practitioner by the hand and lead them away from danger. SATURDAY 8:00am -5:00pm: 34158 - Failure to comply with the visa conditions - 5 core points A failure to comply with a visa condition can lead to the cancellation of a visa.
